<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner holdable in a proper seal state, by easily installing an air filter in a predetermined position in a case by simple operation while visually confirming it. <P>SOLUTION: The air filter 18 for filtering air of turning inside from the outside of a cylindrical filtering part 18a, is installed in a first case 12 for constituting the air cleaner. A male screw part 20 is formed on the outer periphery of a downstream side end plate 18b of the air filter 18. A female screw part 21 threadedly engaging with the male screw part 20 of the end plate 18b is formed on an inner peripheral surface of an installation cylinder part 16 of the first case 12.
