<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify what device configuration, file configuration, and character form should be employed for the practicality of an encryption/decryption device using second-order hyperbola groups. <P>SOLUTION: An encryption/decryption device of hyperbola cryptography includes an encryption device, a decryption device, an FLP control BOX, an FTP server, and a password terminal, employs a file configuration using a virtual surrogate pair, and has a device configuration which is displayed by "device coupling lines" so that the workflow of encryption and decryption can be understood. The encryption device handles contents of a storage file or the like of a plaintext and a device state as a character string of "UTF-16" and performs encryption with a prescribed public key and a secret key to generate a cipher text.
