<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction of unpleasantness of a remaining noise in noise cancellation. <P>SOLUTION: A band division section 81 divides a band of an input signal and calculates power of each divided band. An ideal characteristic database 82 stores, for example, a spectral shape of sound with little unpleasantness to humans. An optimal shape selection section 84 selects an optimal spectral shape from the spectral shapes stored in the ideal characteristic database 82 which serve as samples, based on the spectral shape obtained through processing at the band division section 81. An additional signal generation section 83 generates an additional signal that is required to bring the spectral shape obtained through the processing at the band division section 81 close to the spectral shape selected by the optimal shape selection section 84. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
