<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adequately set an imaging mode when an adapter including an omnidirectional imaging optical system is attached. <P>SOLUTION: An adapter 200 includes an omnidirectional imaging optical system and is attached to a first imaging unit 110. The first imaging unit 110 images a subject in an optical axis direction to generate a first image, and a second imaging unit 120 images the subject in the optical axis direction to generate a second image. A stereoscopic image is displayed using the first image and the second image. An adapter attachment detection unit 131 detects that the adapter 200 is attached to the first imaging unit 110. An imaging mode setting unit 172 sets a planar image imaging mode, a stereoscopic image imaging mode and an omnidirectional image imaging mode based on a user operation. In the case where the stereoscopic image imaging mode or the planar image imaging mode is set when the attachment of the adapter 200 is detected, a control unit 173 cancels the set imaging mode and sets the omnidirectional image imaging mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
