<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device that allows a seamless display properly when light is not being emitted. <P>SOLUTION: An organic EL display device includes: a dial 10 having an organic EL light emitting section 20 that has an organic layer 22 that is formed from an organic EL material and is sandwiched between a back plate 23 including visible light blocking metal and a transparent electrode 21 positioned on a light extraction side; and an anti-reflection film 12 that is provided on the light extraction side of the organic EL light emitting section 20 and prevents light reflection on the back plate 23. The back plate 23 is provided so as to extend to an entire outer side of the organic EL light emitting section 20 of the dial 10, with an insulating film 25 in between the back plate 23 and the transparent electrode 21. On the entire outer side of the organic EL light emitting section 20 of the dial 10, a transparent dummy film 26 is provided on the light extraction side with reference to the back plate 23 so as to overlap the back plate 23. The transparent dummy film 26 includes material identical to the material of the transparent electrode 21.
