DISPLAY DEVICE, SCREEN IMAGE TRANSFER METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for sharing a screen by displaying a display screen of a first display device in a second display device with a display screen displayed in the first display device being displayed in the second display device with little delay.

SOLUTION: A display device which has a display part and performs screen sharing by displaying a display screen displayed in the display part in another device has: capturing means which captures a screen image displayed in the display part and acquires a capture image; image compression means which determines a compression method suitable to the content of the capture image, compresses the capture image by using the determined compression method and generates a compressed image; and transfer means which transfers the compressed image generated by the image compression means to the other device.
