<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program distribution device and method that performs selective distribution of a program. <P>SOLUTION: The program distribution method which is connected to at least one server through a network and distributes the program to the server upon occasion includes: detecting state change of the server; acquiring a server scanning method corresponding to a rule of the program to be distributed by reference to operation policy of a system comprising a plurality of servers; scanning the respective servers connected to a local program distribution device according to the acquired server scanning method; determining whether the program can be distributed to a new server specified through the scanning; and distributing the program corresponding to the new server when the program can be distributed to the new server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
