<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a deteriorated toner. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes a developer holder that forms an electrostatic latent image on the surface thereof, develops the latent image with a charged toner, extends along the surface of an image holder holding the developed image, holds a developer containing the toner on the surface thereof, and carries the developer in a direction intersecting the extending direction to develop the latent image, a layer thickness regulating member that faces the surface of the developer holder, and regulates the layer thickness of the developer, carried by the developer holder, by stopping a part of the developer, carried by the developer holder, that bumps against a part away from the surface of the developer holder, and a sprayer that blows air to the developer, stopped by the layer thickness regulating member, from the layer thickness regulating member side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
