<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide customer premises equipment which can succeed content reproduction at low cost by making use of an existing renderer, as well as a content takeover method and a content takeover program. <P>SOLUTION: The customer premises equipment includes reproducibility determination means 11 which, when a reproduction request for reproducing a content on one of plural reproduction devices is generated, determines whether the reproduction device on which to be reproduced as requested can reproduce the content; reproduction instruction means 12 which, when the reproducibility determination means 11 has determined that the content is reproducible, reproduces the content on the reproduction device; and takeover control means 13 which, when a takeover request is generated requesting that reproduction processing by the reproduction device now reproducing the content be taken over by some other reproduction device and the reproducibility determination means 11 determines that the other reproduction device can reproduce the content, stops reproduction by the reproduction device and has the content reproduced by the other reproduction device starting from a takeover position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
