<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power required for sampling of measurement values of power consumption in a sleep mode. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprising at least one kind of power-saving mode is provided with: power measurement means 100 for measuring power consumption of the image forming apparatus and outputting the measurement values; control means 310 for sampling the measurement values of the power measurement means; and storage means 320 for storing estimated power information of the power saving mode. The control means samples, in a predetermined cycle, measurement values of the power measurement means in an operation mode other than the power-saving mode, generates power consumption amount information of the operation mode other than the power-saving mode from the sampling result. The control means, in the power-saving mode, generates power consumption amount information of the power-saving mode from the estimated power information stored by the storage means without sampling measurement values of the power measurement means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
