<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect abnormality in an I/O unit equipped with a function of transferring IO data by using serial communication. <P>SOLUTION: This IO unit is provided with: a first substrate 10; a second substrate 20 at a reception side; and an interface part 30 connecting the both substrates. The first substrate is provided with a first logic IC 12 which receives IO data to be output from an MPU 11 which outputs IO data configured of a parallel signal, and converts it into a serial signal, and transmits it through the interface part to the second substrate. The second substrate is provided with a second logic IC21 which receives the IO data configured of the serial signal to be transmitted through the interface part, and converts it into a parallel signal, and outputs it. One output terminal QA of the second logic IC is branched, and input to an input terminal PB for abnormality check of the MPU. The MPU acquires the state of the output terminal QA of the second logic IC acquired from the PB, and determines abnormality by determining whether or not the data for check output by the MPU are correctly transmitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
