PURPOSE: A battery charging method and a battery pack using the same are provided to minimize a load applied to a battery by reducing a charging current value when the voltage of the battery is increased. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging method is as follows. A charging current value for charging a battery is determined depending on the charging capacity of the battery. The charging capacity of the battery is determined by confirming the charging state of the battery. The charging current value is reduced in proportion to the value of the charging state. The first reference voltage for changing the charging current value when the voltage of the battery is increased is different from the second reference voltage for changing the charging current value when the voltage of the battery is decreased.
