<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft tube of a writing utensil which gives a comfortable grasping feel of a grip member under no adverse influence of the outside diameter of the grip member or the outside diameter of a grasping part of the barrel, and shows the improvement of an anti-slip effect. <P>SOLUTION: This shaft tube of a writing utensil has the grip member of a soft material fitted to the grasping part of a barrel body. A plurality of through-holes are opened in the grasping part, extending in the axial direction and in differing diametral positions properly spaced from each other. The grip member is mounted to cover the through-holes, and the grasping part between the through-holes is formed of a first grasping part with a large diametral width and a large diametral thickness and a second grasping part with a smaller diametral width and a smaller diametral thickness than the first grasping part. Hence, at least, the second grasping part can be curved inwardly in the shaft tube body by grasping the grip member located in an position opposed to the grasping part between the through-holes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
