The present invention relates a process for producing leucite in hydrothermal environment characterized in that leucite, being obtained synthetically, has the chemical formula Ki2O.Ali2Oi3.4SiOi2, or KAlSii2Oi6 wherein the production process comprises two steps, the first step being characterized in that a leucite sodium analog is prepared, said sodium analog being analcime of the chemical formula NaAlSii2Oi6.Hi2O, or Nai2O.Ali2Oi3.4SiOi4.2Hi2O, and in the second step, there is obtained leucite from the analcime using ion exchange, wherein both the steps are carried out in hydrothermal environment in aqueous medium under low temperatures ranging from 100 to 250 degC. |
