PURPOSE: A fermented soybean block containing salvia plebeian, and a producing method thereof are provided to use a salvia plebeia extract to obtain the fermented soybean block for producing fermented soybean paste or red pepper paste. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a fermented soybean block containing salvia plebeian comprises the following steps: washing salvia plebeian, and dehydrating and drying the salvia plebeian to the water content of 15-25%; extracting the dried salvia plebeian by doubling boiling or using a solvent; soaking soybeans in the salvia plebeian extract; mixing 110-130 parts of salvia plebeian extract by weight and 1,000 parts of soaked soybeans by weight in a pot, and boiling the mixture for 2-3 hours before slowly cooling; crushing the boiled soybeans for molding soybean blocks; and tying the soybean blocks with rice straws, and drying and fermenting the soybean blocks for 40-50 days at room temperature after hanging on the ceiling.
