PURPOSE: A location measuring method and an apparatus through an access point for local area network are provided to measure a location of a communication terminal while moving by subway through an access point for local area network. CONSTITUTION: Access point information DB stores setup information of access points. A location information request receiving unit(1150) receives information of the access point from a communication terminal. A location measuring unit(1190) confirms a subway station corresponding to the access point in the access point information DB. The location measuring unit receives subway information from a subway information system.
