TOUCH SCREEN WITH SINGLE ELECTRODE LAYER

PURPOSE: A touch screen with a single electrode layer is provided to increase the precision and the resolution of a touched position by forming curved transparent electrodes in the form of right-angled triangles. CONSTITUTION: First curved transparent electrodes(21) are regularly arranged on a transparent substrate. Second curved transparent electrodes(22) face the first curved transparent electrodes in the same form of the first curved transparent electrodes. A signal input terminal is formed at the minimum height-based end part of the curved transparent electrodes. Metal electrode lines are in connection with the signal input terminal. A driving circuit is in connection with the signal input terminal and calculates the touched position based on the change of electrostatic capacitance and resistance to the curved transparent electrodes in case of a touching operation.
