PURPOSE: A content managing method by using an identification code and an apparatus thereof are provided to achieve an one source-multi use and supply a customized content service by realizing a systematic distributed management in order to reuse existing content. CONSTITUTION: A content registration request is received. An interface provider(310) offers an interface for a content registration to a content register terminal. Registration information of content is received. A code information extractor(320) extracts information for generating an identification code from the received registration information of the content. An ID code generator(330) combines codes corresponding to the extracted information in order to generate the identification code.
