PURPOSE: An automatic welding apparatus is provided to uniformly weld a ring to a fixing cover for a storage tank because a welding unit moves along the top surface of the fixing cover to implement welding. CONSTITUTION: An automatic welding apparatus(100) comprises a center shaft(110), a moving carriage(120), a welding unit(130), and a connecting rod(140). The center shaft is vertically arranged in the center of a fixing cover(3). The moving carriage is installed and moved on the fixing cover. The welding unit is installed on the moving carriage and welds a ring(4) to the perimeter of the fixing cover. The connecting rod connects the center shaft and the moving carriage. The moving carriage is moved with a predetermined gap from the center shaft.
