COMMUNICATION ANOMALY DETECTION METHOD OF VEHICLE CONTROL UNIT

PURPOSE: A communication error detecting method of a vehicle control unit is provided to monitor various electric devices within a vehicle and detect ID of transmission interrupted message. CONSTITUTION: A communication error detecting method of a vehicle control unit comprises the following steps: initializing various data for error detection(s202); renewing the message receiving time if a special message is received and setting the message receiving status as on(s204); calculating the time difference of the final message receiving time and current time if detecting period for unread messages is expired(s205); checking whether the difference value is bigger than the maximum tolerant time for the message or not(s206); and setting the message receiving status as off if the difference value is bigger than the maximum tolerant time(s207). If the difference value is smaller than the maximum tolerant time, the message receiving status is set as on in the last step.
