PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent color shift at a side viewing angle. CONSTITUTION: First and second polarizing plates(252,254) are located on the top and the bottom of each liquid crystal panel(210). A backlight unit(220) is located in a lower part of the first polarizing plate. The backlight unit supplies light to the liquid crystal panel. A selective reflecting layer(270) is located between the second polarization plate and the liquid crystal panel. The selective reflecting layer includes a first thin film layer(272) and a second thin film layer(274) which have different refractive indexes.
