<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a spring in a cavity of a liquid detector from being strongly compressed and deteriorated. <P>SOLUTION: A cavity having a deformable variable part is provided between a supply port for supplying a liquid stored in a liquid storage portion to the outside and the liquid storage portion, and the variable part is biased by a helical spring through a pressure receiving member from the inner side of the cavity. A positional change of the pressure receiving member is detectable by a detection tool, and when the helical spring is compressed to a predetermined length, the movement of the pressure receiving member is limited by a restriction member. Thus, since the helical spring is never compressed beyond the predetermined length, the deterioration of the helical spring can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
