摘要 <p>The invention relates to oxidation technologies and can be used in combustion systems for solid, liquid and gaseous fuels and also mixtures thereof, which systems are usable in a wide range of industry sectors (roasting, melting, pyrometallurgy, etc.), in municipal services (waste incineration, boilers, etc.), in power engineering (various types of internal combustion engines, thermal power stations, etc.) and so on in order to produce work and/or to produce power. A method is described for increasing the rate and volume of fuel oxidation in combustion systems, resulting in an increase in enthalpy in the combustion products (when work is produced), in the radiant flux density (when power is produced), and in the temperature and rate of temperature increase by using an additive having a polyfunctional action, a catalytic substance or at least one of the substances in a catalytic mixture, comprising at least one carbonyl functional group and, in the IR spectrum, having at least one intensive absorption strip in the range of 1550 to 1850 cm-1, wherein the additive is introduced in an amount of from 0.0000001 to 0.1% by mass. The described method is effective in a wide range of use sectors, even when low-quality fuel is used, predetermines an improvement in the working characteristics of apparatuses usable for realizing said method, and makes a substantial improvement in ecological terms.</p>
