<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert a data type of data in a database in steps according to schema change. <P>SOLUTION: A data conversion device 100 accepts a processing request 140 for a CMDB 110 after a schema of the CMDB 110 is changed from an old schema 120 to a new schema 130. The data conversion device 100 determines whether a condition specifying data to be processed at the processing request 140 is changed by the new schema 130 based upon difference information 150 between the old schema 120 and new schema 130. The data conversion device 100 retrieves data as a conversion object to be converted in a data type from the old schema 120 to the new schema 130, from the CMDB 110, based upon a determination result and the processing request 140.
