<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic joining apparatus which can prevent a workpiece to be joined from tearing or cutting without requiring a stiffening plate. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic joining apparatus includes: an anvil 10 on which the overlaid workpieces to be joined are placed; and a horn 20 that has a surface 21 against which the workpieces to be joined are pushed and which includes an uneven region 22 having a pattern of recession or protrusion formed thereon and a margin region 23 formed around the uneven region, wherein the horn joins the workpieces to be joined by pushing the workpieces to be joined and vibrating them with an ultrasonic wave. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
