METHOD FOR PRODUCING VOID-CONTAINING THREAD

Provided is a method for producing void-containing thread by which it is possible to mature a minute crystal nucleus included in thread material for void-containing thread production to a prescribed crystallite size, and to stably and efficiently produce void-containing thread having a metallic luster, a high degree of reflection, and excellent aesthetics and design, by using thread material for mature void-containing thread production that includes a matured crystal nucleus. The method for producing void-containing thread includes: a thread material formation step for causing a resin moltenly extruded from a nozzle in a thread-shape to pass through water, and forming a thread material for void-containing thread production that contains a crystal nucleus having a crystallite size of less than 2nm in a crystal surface of a (010) surface in the interior thereof; a thread material for mature void-containing thread production formation step for forming thread material for mature void-containing thread production by maturing the crystal nucleus until the crystallite size in the crystal surface of the (010) surface in the thread material for void-containing thread production reaches a size of between 2-5nm; and a void formation step for forming an independent void in the interior of the thread material for mature void-containing thread production by stretching the thread material for mature void-containing thread production.
