Provided is an impeller for a centrifugal compressor, characterized by: the shroud side of the front edge (7a) of a splitter blade (7) being arranged closer to the negative pressure surface (Sb) side of a full blade (5F) than to the circumferentially equispaced intervals of the full blades (5R, 5F), such that the blade tip leakage vortex (W) rises above the front edge (7a) of the splitter blade (7), for the blade tip leakage vortex that is generated towards the front edge (7a) section of the splitter blade (7) from the blade tip gap between the tip of the full blade (5F) and the shroud; and the hub side of the rear edge (7b) of the splitter blade (7) being closer to the negative pressure surface (Sb) side of the full blade (5F) than to the circumferentially equispaced intervals of the full blade.
