An antibacterial apparatus (1) for treating a cleaning cloth or mop material (3), and a cleaning cloth or mop material including a photocatalyst or photoinitiator, the antibacterial apparatus includes a main body (11) defining a chamber (2) configured to receive the mop material or at least part of the cleaning cloth; and one or more ultra-violet light emitters (12) which are positioned to illuminate at least a portion of the mop material or at least part of the cleaning cloth received by the chamber. Also shown is a bucket and an antibacterial apparatus; a wringer and an antibacterial apparatus; and a method of treating a mop material or cleaning cloth. The photocatalyst or photoinitiator may be titanium dioxide. |
