A ceiling fan 10 includes an annular nozzle 14 having an outer wall 74 having an air inlet, an air outlet, an interior passage for conveying an air flow from the inlet to the outlet, and an inner wall 76 defining a bore 78 through which a secondary air flow from outside the nozzle is drawn by the air flow emitted from the air outlet. A support assembly 16 supports the nozzle on a ceiling. The support assembly includes a ceiling mount 100, an arm 102 having a first end connected to the ceiling mount, and a body 104 connected to a second end of the arm and the annular nozzle 14. The body is pivotable relative to the arm to move the annular nozzle between a raised position and a lowered position. The body may comprise an air passage for conveying air flow to the nozzle.
