PURPOSE: A bicycle rental system and method thereof are provided to enable a user to select a desired bicycle by providing the state information of bicycles which are able to be rented by the user to the user. CONSTITUTION: A control server(810) controls a bicycle manless rental service by using internet communication and a user terminal including a GPS(Global Positioning Service) information reception module and an internet communication module. A rental management apparatus(820) controls the lock and release of bicycles by receiving data for approving results of a bicycle rental service. Bicycle storage apparatuses(830) rents and receives the bicycles according to the lock and release commend of the rental management apparatus.
