<p>The present invention relates to a method to amplify and convert a digital signal in a radio modulated signal for emission in a wireless radio access network, comprising the steps :
– clipping and splitting the digital signal using at least one threshold, in a main signal and at least one peak signal, the main signal comprising the clipped digital signal and the main signal the subtracted part of the digital signal,
– converting the main signal and the at least one peak signal in a low energy radio main signal and at least one low energy radio peak signal,
– the low energy radio main signal is amplified in a main branch (3) comprising a main amplifier (7a), and the at least one low energy radio peak signal is amplified in at least one corresponding peak branch (3) comprising a peak amplifier (7b),
– the output of the main amplifier (7a) and the at least one peak amplifier (7b) is combined to form the amplified output signal;
