PURPOSE: A structure for reducing friction and heat generation of a shaft seal is provided to reduce friction heat and too rapidly discharge the generated friction heat by containing oil on a surface where a seal is rubbed. CONSTITUTION: A structure for reducing friction and heat generation of a shaft seal comprises a movement shaft(30), a body(20), and a seal(10). The body protects the movement shaft. The seal is arranged between the movement shaft and the body to pressurize the movement shaft. The seal comprises a seal body and an elastic member. The elastic member is widened at a predetermined angle from one end of the seal body. Multiple protrusions(14) are formed in a surface contacting to the movement shaft to form accommodation spaces(15) between the protrusions, thereby accommodating oil in the accommodation spaces. |
