PURPOSE: An operating method of a mobile communication apparatus is provided to changes the sound mode of the mobile communication apparatus into a silent mode according to adjacent communication apparatuses. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication apparatus detects base stations(S110). The mobile communication apparatus compares base stations registered in a profile list with the detected base station(S120). When the detected station corresponds to the registered base stations, the mobile communication apparatus changes a sound mode into a silent mode(S130). Adjacent base stations are detected. A mobile communication system includes the mobile communication apparatus and the base stations.
