PURPOSE: A device importance calculation method is provided to calculate necessary possibility by loading the minimum severance sets in a memory and a CPU. CONSTITUTION: A failure tree stored in a hard disk is offered to a CPU or a memory(10S). The minimum severance sets are calculated in the CPU or the memory and are transmitted to the hard disk(30S). A second result value is initialized from a basic event. The hard disk receives a first result value. The minimum severance sets are loaded on the CPU or the memory.
