PURPOSE: A directional sound source filtering device using a microphone array and a controlling method thereof are provided to selectively amplify in-field sound source signals detected in an object domain according to view angle information of a camera, thereby outputting. CONSTITUTION: A directional sound source filtering device using a microphone array comprises an image detecting unit(110), a sound collecting unit(120), and a controlling unit(130). The image detecting unit detects images of an object domain. The sound collecting unit is composed of a microphone array in which a plurality of microphones is arrayed for detecting sound source and images detected by the image detecting unit. The controlling unit calculates a time delay value of the sound source of the images in advance to extract the sound source of the images from sound sources detected from the collecting unit and performs a beam formation using the calculated time delay value.
