PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for purifying sewage are provided to improve the purifying efficiency of the sewage by differentiating purifying processes according to the concentrate of introducing water. CONSTITUTION: The concentration of introducing water is measured(S10). Bubble-impregnated floc is formed by introducing a floc forming material and air into the introducing water and stirring the floc forming material, the air, and the introducing water(S20, S30). Floc to be separated from the treated water is selected according to the concentrate result of the introducing water(S40). The treated water is pressurized and transferred(S50). High density floc is separated from the treated water(S60). Low density floc is floated to be separated from the treated water(S70).
