<p>A system and a method for automatically upgrading a home network terminal are provided to upgrade a terminal automatically in case of different version information by comparing old version information to last version information. A terminal(100) receives ACK authentication message including ACK signal and last version information from a local server(104) and compares existing version information with last version information received from a local server. The local server manages specific apartment complex normal households including a home network terminal. The local server confirms whether each terminal is included in the local server in a specific network or not. When the power source is applied at the terminal and authentication-request message is received from the terminal, the local server produces ACK registration message including IP address of the information of an FTP server(105), and ID, password and last version information of the terminal transmits the ACK registration message to the terminal.</p> |
