3-(Inden-4-yl)-5-(phenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole and 3-(tetralin-5-yl)-5-(phenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole derivatives

Disclosed are compounds of general formula (I), which are derivatives of 3-(inden-4-yl)-5-(phenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole and 3-(tetralin-5-yl)-5-(phenyl)-1,2,4-oxadiazole; wherein: a dashed line signifies that a single bond or a double bond can be present, provided that there are two double bonds and three single bonds in the ring comprising A1, A2, and A3; A1, A2 and A3 each independently are C, O, N, NH or N(alkyl), provided that no more than one of A1, A2 or A3 are C, at least one of A1, A2 or A3 is a nitrogen atom, and provided that only one of A1, A2 or A3 is O; L1 and L2 are each a bond; R5 is a bicyclic indan-4-yl or tetralin-5-yl ring moiety which is substituted with 0-5 J; R6 is phenyl ring which is substituted with one or more J; and wherein the remaining substituents are as defined herein. Further disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition which comprises a compound as defined above, for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, transplant rejection, or adult respiratory distress syndrome.
