The disclosure relates to the use of a quinazoline derivative of formula (I) as depicted herein or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in the manufacture of a medicament for treating brain cancer, lung cancer, squamous cell cancer, bladder cancer, breast cancer, oesophageal cancer or thyroid cancer. A process for the preparation of said quinazoline derivative is also disclosed.
