[Also in Division B5] A composite article comprises a member having a surface of metal, a second member having a surface of metal, man-made organic fabric or polyethylene terephthalate, and an amino-organosilicon compound in which the amino-nitrogen atom is joined to the silicon atom through at least three carbon atoms, the aminoorganosilicon compound being disposed between and cured in adhesive contact with the two said surfaces. It may be made by coating the amino-organosilicon compound on to one or both of the surfaces, bringing them into contact and heating the amino-organisilicon compound to a temperature of at least 125‹ C. The amino-organisilicon compound may be an aminoalkylsilane or an aminoalkylpolysiloxane; examples are given in the Specification. The adhesive may also contain an epoxy compound, which may be a monoepoxide or polyepoxide, examples of both are given. A mixture of amino-organisilicon compounds and epoxy compounds may be applied as such, or may be partially reacted to form adducts which are then applied.
