<p>An Ethernet port protecting method and apparatus are disclosed. The method comprises: setting a backup network unit connected with a main network unit constructing the Ethernet port (S102); monitoring the working state of the main network unit (S104); constructing the Ethernet port using the backup network unit when the main network unit goes wrong (S106). The scheme solves the problem in prior art that the service protection can not be executed in the case of the whole network unit goes wrong, extends the protection degree to the network unit level, and thus increases the service protection grade.</p> |
