<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method and an ink set giving an image with high glossiness when forming an image of a secondary color. <P>SOLUTION: The image recording method includes the steps of: imparting first ink containing carbon black dispersed by a resin to a recording medium; and imparting second ink containing a pigment represented by general formula (1) and at least one selected from hydroxy acid and amino acid to the recording medium so as to at least partially lap over the area to which the first ink is imparted. In formula, M is a metal; and X<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to X<SB POS="POST">16</SB>are each independently one selected from a hydrogen atom and a halogen atom, wherein the number of the hydrogen atom is 8 or less, and the number of the halogen atom is 8 or more in the X<SB POS="POST">1</SB>to X<SB POS="POST">16</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
