<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly reliably and easily perform life prediction of a synchronous motor driven rotary machine. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary machine 3 is driven by a synchronous motor 2. Axial torque detection means 7 for detecting an axial torque of an axis for connecting the synchronous motor to the rotary machine is provided, and a detected signal is converted into an axial torque amplitude value by axial torque signal processing means 9. From an axial torque amplitude value at a stationary point of an axial torque amplitude value at a resonance point where a frequency of a fluctuation torque generated by the synchronous motor at the start of the synchronous motor resonates with a torsional natural frequency of the rotary machine and an axial torque amplitude value at a stationary point of an axial torque amplitude value near the resonance point after passage for an arbitrary period of time from the stationary point, an envelope curve of the axial torque amplitude value near the resonance point is calculated by a computing unit 11. The operation means 11 is provided for calculating an equivalent number of repetitions by performing an infinite time integration of the envelope curve of the axial torque value based on the envelope curve, and a relation between stress and the number of repetitions in a material life to predict life of the rotary machine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
