<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desalination apparatus and a desalination method, which are capable of smoothly and effectively carrying out neutralization treatment of raw water using a reducing agent after chlorination treatment of the raw water. <P>SOLUTION: The desalination apparatus includes: a chlorine-containing water supply means 12 installed in a raw water supply line L<SB POS="POST">1</SB>for adding chlorine-containing water 12a to the raw water 11, a pretreatment device 13 having a pretreatment membrane 13a for removing a turbid content in the raw water 11 with the chlorine-containing water 12a added thereto, a filter 15 for removing inorganic matters, etc. in filtrate water 14 from the pretreatment device 13, a reducing agent supply means 16 installed in the downstream side of the filter 15 for supplying the reducing agent 16a for neutralizing the added chlorine, an oxidation means 17 installed in the downstream side of the reducing agent supply means 16 for oxidizing the excessive reducing agent 16a, and a reverse osmosis membrane device 19 having a reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane) 19a for removing a saline matter from the filtrate water 14 after the oxidation of the excessive reducing agent 16a in the oxidation means 17 to produce permeated water 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
