<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump control method of a liquid ejecting apparatus and a liquid ejecting apparatus, which can suppress a suction amount (discharge amount) of ink by promptly releasing negative pressure in a cap member for sealing a nozzle surface without using an air release valve. <P>SOLUTION: In the pump control method of the liquid ejecting apparatus, the negative pressure is generated to an inner space to discharge the ink from the nozzle opening to the cap member by pressing a tube member 20 by a roller member 21 during forward rotation of a rotation plate 25 and then the pressure of the tube member 20 is released by reversing the rotation direction of the roller member 21 by reversely rotating the rotation plate 25 when the inner space is in a negative pressure state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
