FUEL SUPPLY APPARATUS FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply apparatus for an internal combustion engine that can reliably prevent deficiency in supply of an engine fuel which is caused by a filter clogged due to deposition of wax in a return fuel.

SOLUTION: The fuel supply apparatus includes: a supply conduit 4 that supplies the fuel from a fuel tank 2 to a fuel injection device 3 of the engine 1; a return conduit 5 that cools an excess fuel from the fuel injection device in a fuel cooler 6 and returns the excess fuel to the fuel tank; a bypass path 9 that bypasses the fuel cooler and flows the fuel flowing in the return conduit into a confluence part 8 that is more downstream than an upstream branch part 7 of the fuel cooler; and a flow path switching unit 11 that connects the fuel cooler with the fuel tank when a temperature Tn of the fuel passing the confluence part is higher than a high temperature determination value Tf2 of the fuel, and connects the bypass path 9 with the fuel tank 2 when the fuel temperature is low one which is equal to or lower than a low temperature determination value Tf1.
