<p>Provided is an optical transmission medium bend working device which minimizes bending loss in an optical transmission medium, comprising: an arc discharge electrode (133) which partially sequentially heats in the vertical direction a bend working region (A) of a tape core wire (F) which extends in the vertical direction with a leading end on the downward side, said bend working region (A) located above the leading end part thereof; a core wire retaining unit (123) which retains the part of the tape core wire (F) which is above the bend working region (A); and a bending arm (143) which applies force to the tape core wire (F) in the state wherein the bend working region (A) is heated, bending the tape core wire (F) at the bend working region (A).</p> |
