The gearbox (10) has a housing (20) in which a bearing (22) including a bearing inner ring (221) and a bearing outer ring (222) is mounted. The machine element is aligned relative to the housing, by arranging an alignment disc (16) between the bearing outer ring and the housing inner contour (201). The disc has a dome-shaped bulge oriented towards the housing inner contour. The bearing outer ring is clamped between the disc and the clamping element (18) and is fixed to the housing through fasteners.
