<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device, a video display system, and a video display method and a program, capable of efficiently displaying video images while maintaining visibility and operability. <P>SOLUTION: In the video display method, communication-connected pan/tilt-controllable first and second cameras are used. Information for moving a display area is acquired in a virtual area for which a first area equivalent to the pan/tilt range of the first camera and a second area equivalent to the pan/tilt range of the second camera are made at least adjacent to each other and combined, and the position of the display area in the virtual area is determined. A pan/tilt operation for receiving video images of the display area is requested to the first camera when the display area is positioned in the first area before and after the movement, a pan/tilt operation for receiving video images of the display area is requested to the second camera when the display area moves from the first area to the boundary of the first area and the second area, and the video images of the display area received from the first or second camera are displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
