<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector saving space required for replacement of an air filter, suppressing ingress of dust into inside of a housing and enhancing convenience when replacing the air filter. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1 comprises: a housing 10 constituting an exterior casing; an air filter 4 for causing dust contained in ambient air drawn into inside of the housing 10 to adhere thereto; air intake ports 51 for drawing the ambient air; and an air intake case 5 having a case holding section 52 detachably held by the housing 10 and filter holding sections 53 for detachably holding the air filter 4.
